I spent Thanksgiving at my parent’s house, the same house I grew up in, and after only a couple days the transformation back to being the super lazy, chocolate chip cookie-craving, video game addicted 13 year-old version of myself is complete. So after getting bored with my Dad’s meager collection of PS3 games (he bought [...]

I found this web design company Acro Media from a link at the bottom of ElementFour.com which they developed. I’m not sure exactly what to call that link, so for lack of a better term I’ll call it a developed by credit. This is an incredibly smart thing to include in any website you might develop, [...]

So I just visited my favorite coffee shop today but this was the first time in a few weeks. Here’s why…
1. A stork dropped off a baby. So leaving the house at all right now is rare.
2. A different stork brought me this insanely cool coffee maker that brews one cup at time.
3. Up till recently [...]

I’ve got some articles on freelancing in my draft folder of WordPress, but this article on 10 Tools for Communicating with Clients kinda blows one of them away. So I’ll just scrap my version and suggest you check out that link. A couple highlights…. FaxZero looks awesome. The 4 times a year I use my fax machine its [...]

This is very cool. Here’s some deet’s from the creators…
Air Lines is an art project showing worldwide airliner routes. Every single scheduled flight on any given day is reresented by a fine line from it’s point of origin to it’s port of destination. Thereby forming a net of thousands of lines. Hubs like JFK, FRA [...]

This is a great idea! Check out the full contest details here. And the first prize is a CS4 Suite. Not too shabby for writing 25 lines of code.

Okay this is turning into Animated Movie Week at the blog, but since I just watched Wall-E , I can still remember where some of the best interface design elements were. And lets hope Pixar doesn’t mind some fellow artists gawking at (and reposting) pics of their work. Click the images for embiggened versions….

So I finally saw Kung Fu Panda. Way later than I should have! I passed on seeing this in the theater because the trailer made it seem like this would be a slapsticky kids movie. And it felt like that same trailer played in front of every movie I saw last summer. Big time trailer-overkill. [...]

Here’s the full article. The cool part here is that the “Flash” they are referring to is not Flash Lite, but Flash player 10. So that means anything you have previously created in Flash, either with Actionscript 2 or 3 (or 1 for that matter) should play on the mobile device. Obviously how well is [...]
