All posts for the month September, 2012

Mike at Altrius Games just showed me an incredible modification of my Angry Ninjas Starter Kit template, called Robot Rage. He added some great features, like custom abilities for each robot slung. Take a look at this gameplay trailer which itself is very well done…

And by the way, I did update the code library in the template to the latest version of Cocos2d v2 (the post-iPhone 5 version). I just overwrote the Cocos2d library files, no changes to the Kit.

This is an amazing piece. For lack of a better description, its just Star Wars anime style. Kudos to the animator who is calling this a “work in progress”. Really makes me wonder what’s “progressing”.  Check it out…

I love the comment “Someone warn George Lucas! This guy is making Star Wars cool again”

Getting punched hard enough to knock my socks off actually sounds good right now. I can’t seem to shake a fever and while these socks seemed absolutely necessary 20 minutes ago, now they seem absolutely unnecessary. But to pull them off seems like so much work. Those feet are so far away.

Anyway, Work goes on though! Fevers or not. And we have an amazing new lesson on Fight Scenes. Yesterday, I showed you guys the finished piece from this lesson (scroll down if you missed that), and now if you’d like to learn from our master animator (I’m not referring to myself), you can!  Enjoy!

This latest tutorial from Conan Sinclair will be out shortly, but since I’m excited about it, I can’t wait to show off the final movie sequence he puts together in this aptly titled lesson on Fight Scenes!  Rar!  Take a look…

The entire lesson covers setting up the scene, building suspense, the actual fight,  as well as exporting everything and then editing it in After Effects.

Animators Stay Tuned! This one is coming soon! UPDATE!  It’s available!
