Check out Jeff Agala’s blog to see a ton of illustrations from projects he’s worked on over the past few years. Most of the jobs look to be for broadcast or video game animation. Although sadly I don’t think super scrunchie Wolverine was for an animation. Too bad. I’d love to see every Marvel character drawn like that… then battle each other in the cutest ways possible.
One quick design note for budding illustrators: Check out how in almost all of Jeff’s pieces there’s a lot of movement. Rarely is someone just standing around getting their picture taken. And unless you’re specifically drawing some sort of spokes character ( one that should be doing a Vanna White type pose) try to draw your characters in the moment. Jeff could have drawn Wolverine just standing there looking cool, and if he did I’d probably still be posting this picture because stylistically it would still be unique. But it adds so much more to the piece that he drew an action pose.
