Magazines with video ads!!!! Jetpacks are so close.

The Sept 18 issue of Entertainment Weekly will have a video player in the mag! Don’t believe me, read more on CNET. Here’s some cut and paste action from that link…..

Here are some more details about the Americhip technology: the screen, which is 2.7 millimeters thick, has a 320×240 resolution. The battery lasts for about 65 to 70 minutes, and can be recharged, believe it or not, with a mini USB cord–there’s a jack on the back of it. The screen, which uses thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT LCD) technology, is enforced by protective polycarbonate

And below is some video showing how BMW is already using Americhip’s screens. Although, be warned, watching it below takes some of the shine off this technology. YouTube can’t be doing it justice. I think it will be awesome to open up a cheap magazine and find a video player inside.  Even more awesome, will be walking by a trash can outside a concert or someplace and see it full of LCD screens playing…. Rats are the real winners in the not-so-distant future. Free, relatively big screen TV’s.
